When creating a drip campaign using Sendloop, you’ll need to complete the following two tasks:
- Set up segments for the email list you’re targeting
- Set up campaigns for each segment you created in step 1
To classify subscribers based on the action you’re carrying out, you’ll create segments.
On the Sendloop dashboard, click Subscribers in the top navigation bar.
You will see the list of Subscribers associated with your account (if you do not currently have any lists, you can create one by clicking Create a new list on the top right corner). Click on the name of the list for which you want to create segments. This brings you to the List Overview page.
On the right-side of the List Overview page, click on Create a new segment. This brings you to the Create Segment page.
You will be asked to provide the appropriate configuration settings for your new segment:
Name of the segment
Provide a descriptive name for your segment (such as "Subscription Date + 1 Day"). This is used for administrative purposes only.
Set up the rules you want Sendloop to use when filtering for users to include in the segment. Since this is a drip campaign, choose Match all rules. You can add as many rules to this segment as you'd like, but you must have a time-based rule for the drip campaign to work. For example, your rule will follow this formula:
[Subscription Date] = send date [+]  days. Be sure to check relative to enable this type of time-based rule.
Set the start and end row numbers to limit the number of subscribers returned. Leaving both fields empty returns all matching subscribers.
When you are finished, click Create to proceed. You may also exit the configuration screen by clicking cancel.
If you want to set multiple time intervals during which Sendloop sends emails, you must create multiple segments.
Now that you've created your segment(s), you can create drip campaigns for one or more of your segments.
Return to your Sendloop dashboard and click Send Email in the top right corner. You will be asked to choose the email campaign mode:
- Choose a ready-to-use email template
- Import your email design
- Code your own email
For the purposes of this article, click Choose a ready-to-use email template to proceed. You will now see the Email Template Gallery.
From the templates in the gallery, choose the one with which you'd like to work. Hover over your chosen template, and click the Create Email link that appears. This launches the email builder, where you can:
- Compose your email message;
- Upload photos;
- Edit the content of your email.
Once you are satisfied with your email, you can choose its recipients and schedule it to send automatically.
In the email builder, click the To field to select the recipients of the email.
You will be presented with a drop down list of the segments associated with you account, so choose the one to whom you want to send this particular email. When you've finished choosing your segments, click Save.
Now that you've selected the recipients of the email, you can schedule when it gets sent. To do this, click Send Repeatedly in the top right corner to open up the scheduling options.
For a drip campaign, choose the following options:
select Every Day
Time of day
set the time of day you want this campaign triggered
Underneath these options, make sure that you've opted to Repeat indefinitely.
Finally, click Schedule to save your changes and schedule your campaign. At this point, your rule triggers every day at your desired time, and Sendloop will send your email to the recipients who match the rules of the selected segment.
You must create and schedule a new email for each segment you'd like to reach.
