Auto-Responses to New Subscribers

It's nice to send an acknowledgement email to every new subscriber to your list. You can set up auto-responses for your Sendloop lists so that you never miss a single new subscriber.

There are two ways you can set up auto-responses to new subscribers:

  1. Enabling the "Welcome" email option for the subscription list;
  2. Setting up a repeating email campaign that gets sent every day and targets new subscribers.

Reporting

Please note that you cannot report on any of the Welcome Emails you send using this setup method. You will therefore not get data on open rates, click-through rates, and so on. If you would like this data, please set up your auto-responses to new subscribers using the next method detailed on this page.

After logging into the Sendloop Dashboard, click on Subscribers to be taken to the subscription list management area.

Identify the subscriber list for which you want welcome emails sent. In the bottom right corner of the box representing the list, click on Options.

Select Website Forms from the Options drop-down menu to bring up the Subscription Flow management page.

Near the bottom of the flow diagram, click Welcome Email. On the next screen, check the box next to Send a welcome email to the recipient after the subscription process is complete to bring up the Welcome Email editor.

You can use the provided editor to customize the Welcome Email that gets sent to all new subscribers to your list. Using the upper box, you can craft a plain text email. Using the bottom box, you can craft an HTML-based email.

When done, click Save. Sendloop will now send auto-responses to every new subscriber to your list.

How to set up a repeating email campaign that gets sent every day and targets new subscribers

Setting up your auto-responses to new subscribers using this method requires you to do the following:

  1. Create a segment inside your list with the following rule: Subscription Date is Today.
  2. Create a new campaign. When you are in the email editor for your campaign, set to To field to the segment you created in step 1. Additionally, you'll also want to set the email to Send repeatedly.

Remember that, because setting up your auto-response welcome emails in this manner is also how you would set up your other email campaigns, you can report on your data. This allows you to gauge how well-received your welcome emails are by your new subscribers.
