Adding a New Subscriber

If you have new subscribers that you want to add to your email list(s), you can do so easily via the Subscriber Management page located in the Sendloop Dashboard. To navigate this page, click on Subscribers in the top navigation bar once you've logged in to your Sendloop account.

Click the Add Subscribers button at the top right. This launches the Import Subscribers wizard.

You can choose to import your subscribers in one of two ways:

  • Uploading a CSV or tab-delimited text file with a .txt, .csv, or .tsv extension;
  • Copying and pasting column data from a source file.

Import Subscribers by Uploading a Data File

Using the Import Subscribers wizard, indicate that you want to Upload CSV or tab-delimited text file.

Click Upload File to select and open the file containing your subscriber data. If you select a valid file, you'll see the following confirmation.

Click Continue to proceed.

Choosing a List for Your New Subscribers

When you import new subscribers, you can choose to import them into a new list or an existing list.

Adding New Subscribers to a New List

To add new subscribers to a new Sendloop mailing list, you should opt for Create a new list. You will then be prompted to Name your new list.

Click Continue to proceed.

Adding New Subscribers to an Existing List

To add new subscribers to an existing Sendloop mailing list, you should opt for Choose an existing list. You can use the drop-down menu to choose the mailing list to which the users should be imported.

Next, you'll need to tell Sendloop which option you'd prefer:

  • Add only new subscribers: Sendloop adds only new subscribers and ignores any duplicates it finds
  • Add new subscribers and update existing ones: Sendloop adds new subscribers and updates existing subscribers with new data (if applicable)

Click Continue to proceed.

Mapping Your Subscriber Data to the Proper Columns

Once you have imported your data, you'll need to tell Sendloop how to map your data to your mailing lists' columns.

For each column of data that you import, you have three options:

  • Use an existing column: import the data to an existing column in the list;
  • Create a new column: import the data to a newly-created column in the list;
  • Ignore this column: ignore this data.

If you're importing data into a new list, remember that you'll need to create almost all of your columns. Except the email_address column, there are no default columns to which you can import your data.

Click Continue to begin the import. You'll see progress bars indicating the status of your import.

When the import is complete, Sendloop will tell you how many users were successfully imported and if there were any issues of which you should be aware.

At this point, you are ready to include your new subscribers in your email campaigns!

Import Subscribers by Copying and Pasting Column Data

Using the Import Subscribers wizard, indicate that you want to Copy/paste from file. You will see a text box that allows you to provide the subscriber data you're importing.

Sendloop lets you know if the data you've provided is valid or not.

When you're finished entering your data, click Continue to proceed.
